The day with no power

Fact: I gave my dad this poster for Christmas once. It still hangs on a wall in our home to this very day.

Five deer (alive). One Badger. One Turtle (Which I did NOT hit, thus avoiding a renactment from a dark place in Peg-history)

One Rabbit (dead). One unknown (also dead). I also drove through the guts of a bear.

In other words … a fairly normal drive in Northwestern Ontario.

D & I headed up to Kenora today to escape the planned power outage in our neck of the woods slated for 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Leading up to it, it was funny seeing people get upset in a “WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITHOUT ELECTRICITY FOR THE DAY!!” way.

Arriving back in town at 4:15ish, we half-expected the place to be in flames, panic and chaos.

It wasn’t.

The best part of Kenora: Watermelon fudge. It is all mine. Omnomnomnom.
